Instruction Based Art

I love to teach this kind of art in schools! It allows the chldren to be truly creative and free to create their art, within the confines of Instruction-Based Art. I mainly teach Sol LeWitt and Yoko Ono. In paticular her Wish Tree, which they love. Here are some examples of how the simplicity of these concepts allow us chance to see their thoughts. Sol LeWitt is very good for teaching how to follow instructions and group work and encourages writing down and sharing of ideas. I will find some images created by children which use Sol le Witt and post here.
